Welcome to our occasional concert venue with front-row seating only
What do you get when you combine 1970s Zambian rock legends, freakishly talented younger musicians from Europe, USA and Zambia and an old beach shack porch? You get a night to remember.

Last week, we dusted off the back porch of our office at Cocoa Beach to welcome some serious legends that our pal and resident artist Andy Davis turned us on to. The porch is one of our favorite ways to see the bands we love and a pretty cool way for them to take a break while on tour. This time, the Zamrock band WITCH stopped by to finish out their international tour—traveling 36 hours to get to our crew in the Sunshine State.
Frontman Emmanuel “Jagari” Chanda and the rest of the band stopped by to bring the nostalgic sound that only a band that lived through the ’70s could truly capture. We first heard W.I.T.C.H’s music in the surf film Strange Rumblings in Shangri LA, a fact Jagari, the 70-year-old frontman (yes, you heard that right) was surprised to hear when we hung out with him in Cocoa Beach. They may be international rock stars, but they’ll still whip out an acoustic guitar and play for your kids before the show begins. Plus, no time is a bad time for snacks, even if it's in the middle of their set.
Check out our day with WITCH (We Intend to Cause Havoc) at the porch here. If you think that’s good, make sure you check out their documentary WITCH. If you can believe it, we haven’t even scratched the surface of their story.
